【摘要】:Variousdriveninsitupenetrometersareusedtoevaluatetheengineeringbehaviorofsoils.TheStandardPenetrationTestisthemostcommontype.EngineeringpropertiescanbeestimatedonthebasisofempiricalcorrelationsbetweenN-valuesandsoildensity,strengthorstiffness.Alternatively,theN-valuecanbeuseddirectlyinfoundationdesignusingcorrelationstodesignparameterssuchasallowablebearingpressureorpilecapacity.TheN-valuedependsonthesoilpropertiesbutalsoonthemass,geometry,stroke,anvil,andoperatingefficiencyofthehammer.ThisenergymeasurementprocedurecanevaluatevariationsofN-valueresultingfromdifferencesinthehammersystem.SeealsoRefs(1-6).Thereisanapproximate,linearrelationshipbetweentheincrementalpenetrationofapenetrometerandtheenergyfromthehammerthatentersthedrillrods,andthereforeanapproximateinverserelationshipbetweentheN-valueandtheenergydeliveredtothedrillrods.Note18212;Sincethemeasuredenergyincludestheextrapotentialenergyeffectduetothesetperblow,testsforenergyevaluationofthehammersystemsshouldbelimitedtomoderateN-valuerangesbetween10and50(Ref(7)).Stresswaveenergymeasurementsonpenetrometersmayevaluatebothoperator-dependentcatheadandropehammersystemsandrelativelyoperator-independentautomaticsystems.TheenergymeasurementhasdirectapplicationforliquefactionevaluationforsandsasreferencedinPracticeD6066.ThistestmethodisusefulforcomparingtheN-valuesproducedbydifferentequipmentoroperatorsperformingSPTtestingatthesamesite,aidingthedesignofpenetrometersystems,trainingofdynamicpenetrometersystemoperators,anddevelopingconversionfactorsbetweendifferenttypesofdynamicpenetrationtests.Note28212;Thequalityoftheresultproducedbythisstandardisdependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingit,andthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetestingandinspection.UsersofthisstandardarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3740doesnotinitselfassurereliableresults.Reliableresultsdependonmanyfactors:PracticeD3740providesameansofevaluatingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesproceduresformeasuringtheenergythatentersthepenetrometerdrillrodstringduringdynamicpenetrometertestingofsoilduetothehammerimpact.1.2ThistesthasparticularapplicationtothecomparativeevaluationofN-valuesobtainedfromtheStandardPenetrationTests(SPT)ofsoilsinanopenholeasinTestMethodD1586andPracticeD6066.Thisproceduremayalsobeapplicabletootherdynamicpenetrometertests.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionswhichareprovidedforinformationpurposesonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.4Limitations8212;Thistestmethodappliestopenetrometer......
