【摘要】:ThispartofBS5839givesrecommendationsfortheplanning,designandinstallationoffiredetectionandfirealarmsystemsindwellingsanddwellingunitsthataredesignedtoaccommodateasinglefamily,andinhousesinmultipleoccupationthatcompriseanumberofself-containedunitseachdesignedtoaccommodateasinglefamily.Therecommendationsapplytobothnewdwellingsandexistingdwellings.Recommendationsforroutineattentionarealsogiven.ThesystemscoveredinthispartofBS5839rangefromthosecomprisingasingleself-containedsmokealarmtosystemsofthetypedescribedinBS5839-1.TherecommendationsofthispartofBS5839mayalsobeappliedtothefiredetectioncomponentsofcombineddomesticfireandintruderalarmsystemsorfireandsocialalarmsystems.ThispartofBS5839appliestoformsofdwellingincludingbungalows,multi-storeyhouses,individualflatsandmaisonettes,mobilehomes,shelteredhouses,housingprovidingNHSsupportedlivinginthecommunity(asdefinedinHealthTechnicalMemorandum88[1]),mansions,andhousesdividedintoseveralself-containedsingle-familydwellingunits.Itdoesnotapplytohostels,caravansorboats(otherthanpermanentlymooredboatsusedsolelyasresidentialpremises),ortothecommunalpartsofpurpose-builtshelteredhousingandblocksofflatsormaisonettes.Itdoesnotapplytoanypremisesusedforpurposesotherthanasadwelling(e.g.smallshops,factoriesorsimilarpremisesusedsolelyasplacesofwork).ThispartofBS5839isintendedforusebyarchitectsandotherbuildingprofessionals,enforcingauthorities,contractorsandothersresponsibleforimplementingfireprecautionsindwellings.Itisnotintendedforoccupiers,forwhomadviceispublishedbytheGovernment.However,recommendationsaregivenforsimplesystemsthatmaybeinstalledbynon-specialists.Therecommendationsreferprincipallytofiredetectionandfirealarmsystemsinstalledforthepurposeoflifesafety.However,recommendationsaregivenforsystemsthatarealsointendedtoprotectproperty.note:1)TheOfficeoftheDeputyPrimeMinister(inEnglandandWales),theScottishExecutiveandtheDepartmentofHealth,SocialServicesandPublicSafety(NorthernIreland).
